The private family of Walk The Line Pug Ranch has been studying, breeding, whelping, raising, training, and care taking for PureBreed Pugs since the year “2000”, on a small private, yet very professional & well educated hobby scale… WTL has grown our Ancient Chinese Pug PureBreed Preservation, and Pug Caretakers Team from one retired individuals, DragonMaster’s, into a comprehensive & combined family effort… We all put forth at least a part time daily individual contribution, towards our combined families very dedicated efforts into General PureBreed Pug Healthcare and the overall healthy well being in the proper responsible breeding of, and preservation of, the original Ancient Chinese PureBreed Pug Heritage… This we consistantly accomplish by properly breeding, whelping, training, and raising healthy quality PureBreed Pug Pups, and then selectively placing them as hopefully life long private family pet companions &/or professional therapy dog capacities, into proper qualifying responsible “Pug Loving Homes”… WTL also promotes our own privately funded Pug Rescue efforts, in addition to voluntarily assisting other Pug related Associations in the general homeless and lost Pug care taking and sheltering efforts, within and around our private Communities, however able…
Over the years WTL has received many unsolicited testimonials regarding our various Pug Breeding Excellence, pre and post adoption support to our Pug adoptive parents, and various other Pug Breed related preservation & rescue efforts… These we have received from many of our Pug adoptive parents and various other Pug Breeding and Preservation Comrades, via e-mail, letter, gifts, verbally, etc… (Thank You All!)

We started working with Walk The Line a year ago on the pre-adoption of two puppies. The level of attention and devotion they showed was unparalleled, as if we were the only adoptive family with whom they were working. Their knowledge about the breed and best health care practices are unsurpassed. The gallery was a constant source of delight and amazement as we watched our girls grow from newborns to the 10-wk old wonders we picked up in August, 2012. We could not be more pleased with our decision to pursue an adoption through Walk The Line; our girls are remarkably healthy, spunky, sweet-natured, and simply gorgeous. It was well worth the eight-hour drive to pick them up, and they were gracious enough to spend as much time as we needed to review the comprehensive binder and materials that are included as part of their adoption package. We do not hesitate in recommending and/or referring others to Walk The Line. Thanks for bringing so much joy into our lives!
Lynda The best of the best!
It was a great experience working with Walk The Line. They were very informative and accomodating. We drove 3 hours North and they drove 5 hours South to meet us for our adoption. It was also wonderful that they offer a puppy kit, which saved me time and frustration looking for everything that I would need. WTL also provided a health binder with a wealth of pug information. This is my 2nd pug adoption process and I did not get near as much information where I got my first pug from. We adopted a black pug puppy and once we got him home, my Vet checked him out and said that he was in great health. Our “Mugsy” is also very good looking, which I already knew from all the pictures they provided. Mugsy went right to his potty pad the 1st day. He is an awesome addition to our family. If I ever adopt a pug again, I will only go to Walk The Line. They really care about their pugs. Once you adopt from them you become a part of the Walk The Line family because they continue to care! 3/20/2013

Dec, 2012 – After many months of deliberation on my part and above and beyond patience on Walk The Line’s part, our family adopted a most beautiful 1-1/2 y/o female pug, Mia. She has become the perfect, loving companion to our 6 y/o male pug w/ special needs, whom we love dearly. As soon as Mia came into our home, the two of them were instant pals. Walk The Line patiently guided me through the process of trying to figure out which puppy or adult dog would be a suitable companion for Chulo. Since having a rescue pug that was poorly bred and riddled with problems and loving the pug breed, I was determined to find a pug that was bred for excellence in every possible way, and I found that with Walk The Line. Our Mia is not only the most beautiful pug, but she is the picture of health and very intelligent. Thank you Walk The Line family for our little Mia. Jeanne & Tony Matos

Hello people, I’m Ranger. What can I say, if it’s an animal and especially a pug, WTL will do everything to care for it unconditionally! I’m a retired NYS Trooper and have lived in Tampa for the last several years with my family and pugs. We met the WTL family & a couple of their pugs 7 or 8 years ago when they were down here working. We loved their pugs and a few years later while visiting our home state of NY, we went to their farm & got one of their pugs. She has been a great and healthy pug, my fishing partner & my familys joy ever since. We also have a challenged pug which we bought in the Tampa area before we met WTL. They have spent numerous hours over the years researching & providing us with medical advice for our challenged pug & have never asked for anything in return even though we did not get that pug from the WTL family. My wife and I remain WTL’S friends always! Hey now I’m going back to that fishing pole. Wish you could come and visit us again in Paradise!

Picture – perfect experience with Walk The Line. We pre-adopted “Pugsy Malone” on 9/6/14. We were very impressed by the thorough nature of the application process; it was evident that WTL facilitates only responsible adoptions. They were awesome to work with, very quick to respond to an email or answer a question. The big day went off without a hitch; They provided us with a wealth of information about pug care prior to our departing with our little guy. Pugsy is the picture of health and has a ton of personality, we adore him! We would recommend Walk The Line to any responsible prospective pug parent to be. Thanks guys, for everything!
Mike & Heather very happy puggy parents!!
Hello Walk The Line. I can’t believe it’s been five months now that Tessa has joined our family. It took us over a year to decide on getting another pug. By far, adopting from you was pleasure. It was such a seamless transaction. Meeting us half way was very accommodating when it came to picking Tessa. The time spent going over everything without rushing shows that you really care when it comes to placing a puppy in a new home. Tessa is a real spit fire and we love her to pieces. She’s as smart as a whip. In the future if we decide on getting another pug we’d definitely give you a buzz. Hope all is well by you. Thank You!

Walk the line pug ranch made buying my little guy such a smooth and educating experience. From start to finish they helped me with the commitment I was about to make. Mugsy is a perfect little black pug and I owe it all to the wonderful care he was given the first four months of his life. Walk the line really care about their dogs. I received an email checking in on him the following day. After a three hour drive to his new home in Buffalo, they wanted to make sure he was adjusting okay. I could go on but I guess all I need to say is HIGHLY recommended. Thank you Walk the line for our puppy!

AFTER OUR PUG DIED TWO YEARS AGO MY HUSBAND AND I DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO GET A NEW PUPPY. MY HUSBAND AND I CONTACTED THE PUG RANCH IN UP STATE NY TO SEE WHAT WE NEEDED TO DO. WE TALKED TO THEM AND THEY GAVE US THE INFO WE NEEDED TO GET THE ADOPTION PROCESS STARTED. WE READ ALL THE PAPER WORK, E-MAILED TANYA BACK AND TOLD HER THAT WE WERE READY TO START. WE COULD PICK OUT THE ESTIMATED MONTH TO GET THE PUPPY ( OF COURSE THE MOMMY HAS TO BE READY TO GIVE BIRTH AT THAT TIME IF NOT YOU HAVE TO WAIT LONGER) . WE ALSO PURCHASED THE PHOTO PACKAGE SO WE COULD WATCH THE PROGRESS OF THE PUPPY AS HE GOT BIGGER. EVERYTHING WENT GREAT. WTL WAS GREAT THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS. NOW OUR NEW BABY OTIS IS ALMOST FOUR MONTHS OLD AND WHAT A WONDERFUL ADDITION HE IS TO OUR FAMILY. SO IF YOUR THINKING OF GETTING A PUG PUPPY LOOK INTO THE PUG RANCH. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. GOOD LUCK !!! BOB AND PENNY Z/ NEWARK VALLEY N.Y.

Hi WTL family, I am so glad to be teamed up with another pug breeder with the same values and genuine regard first and foremost to the pug breeds health and well being. I can’t stress enough what it means to be associated with such a reputable and well known pug breeder such as yourself. Sept 2012 – I recently adopted my little Chesney from Walk The Line. I wasn’t sure if I was ready for another dog since I just lost my precious Moose (chihuahua/pug mix) a couple months ago. But WTL graciously met me about an hour from my home to let me meet this adorable little guy and I couldn’t go home without him. The Walk The Line family has been great about responding to my questions/concerns in an extremely timely manner and the website is an excellent source of information. Thank you everyone at WTL!!! We love her and can’t wait to watch her grow up into a wonderful, wonderful friend and companion. (Sept, 2012)Thanks, Walk The Line!!

I just recently adopted a black male puppy from Walk The Line. He is about 11 weeks old now and we named him BoJo. Bojo has brought so much happiness into our home that I can’t imagine life without him. The WTL family were so helpful every step of the way through out the adoption. We picked our little guy up on a Sunday afternoon (August, 2012) and we weren’t sure if we would make it home to our pet supply store in time to get needed supplies. We wound up with a personal escort (via Walk The Line) to a nearby pet supply store . These people are the salt of the earth and you can tell they really care about all their animals. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with all of them. As for BoJo, he was everything I was promised and more. The WTL family are there if I need anything or have any questions. So far, BoJo has been so healthy and happy, all we have had to do is love and play with him. Thank you to everyone at Walk The Line for this wonderful addition to our family.

Hello, we just want to say THANK YOU WALK THE LINE! We had pre-adopted a baby Pug from WTL back in June, 2012. We picked her up in early August and she is absolutely wonderful! They kept us updated weekly with text & pics as our baby Pug matured in the nest. WTL has also been a very knowledgable source of Pug health care information & advice. Our whole adoption experience with Walk The Line has been fantastic! We would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and healthy Pug!

“Murphy” our new Pug (August, 2012) has been an absolute pleasure. He is feisty, loves to play, jump and run around, and sleeps extremely well for a new puppy. He generally sleeps for 6-7 hours during the day and about 8 hours at nightime, no fuss. We notified WTL that Murphy had some diarrhea about a week after we had picked him up because we gave him some treats that our Vet said would be ok. We followed WTL’S directions, and it subsided within the one day. Murphy has also been approved by our Vet after a general check up, heart worm pill, and follow up booster shots as WTL had advised. Overall, we really have enjoyed our experience with Walk The Line, and have not and will not hesitate to contact them if we have ANY questions, as they have advised. Thanks so much!

Hi, We are the happy owners of Paulie. We had previously owned two pugs. However, purchasing a pug from Walk The Line was a unique experience. The WTL family were extremely helpful in selecting a dog that would be right for our family. They were literally there for us from day one with answers to our questions. More importantly, the photo gallery was great. Constant photos of Paulie’s development were priceless. It made us feel like parents of a new born baby. The care exhibited by Walk The Line was exceptional. When Paulie arrived, you could tell that he had a lot of human contact. WTL was there for all of our questions during the whole process as well as after. Paulie is quite the personality and has brought a lot of happiness to our household. We love our pug. ToWalk The Line, thanks again for everything; especially the care you have given to Paulie. Lori, Michael,Shannon, Shane & PAULIE

The family at Walk The Line have been great to work with. We are the proud owners of a black male, Nico. WTL worked with us right from the beginning to help us find a puppy that would fit our lifestyle and our needs. WTL is very knowledgeable and took the time to really talk with us about what qualities we were looking for. Walk The Line’s family was always available to answer email questions promptly. Once we met Nico, we fell in love! He’s a great little guy who is playful and energetic. WTL was especially invaluable when after 4 days with Nico we had an unfortunate eye injury. The WTL family went above and beyond and offered us immediate advice and helped us care for Nico until his eye healed. We are happy to say Nico is feeling much better and it could not have been without the WTL family! I would not hesitate to recommend dealing with Walk The Line if you are searching for a top quality, healthy pug. Thank you!

We were looking for a young female black pug to be a companion for our 5-year-old black male pug. Walk The Line helped us find the perfect lady pug for our family. Ebony is smart and beautiful with a happy face and happy wagging tail. She has transitioned nicely from her former pug paradise home with WTL to her new one in New Paltz, NY. She’s even working at our B&B with our male pug as a greeter for our guests. We look forward to watching Ebony grow and blossom in the years to come. Thank you WTL for your care, concern, and perfectly bred pugs! We would highly recommend your pugs!! Kathy Drew

We are the proud family who now have a wonderful little guy named Rufus….He came to us from Walk The Line and we couldn’t be happier with the choice that we made. He is very happy and healthy and everyone involved at every level of our adoption was the most caring and commited people. They take the time to get to know you and your circumstances before adoption and are most helpful through every process. I have bought pure bred dogs before, and have talked to lots of breeders, but i have never gotten the attentiveness before, during and after the process as with WTL. Thank you so much for our beautiful boy, who has become a special part of our family. Thanks all for making the process so very wonderful. Laurie

Hi my name is Beth and my family just adopted our fourth Pug named Stanley! This is our first experience with Walk The Line and it was truely AWESOME! I never thought that we would find another pug lover like ourselves. The WTL team treat their pugs like family. Their support througout the adoptive process in un-believable. We have made a friend for life!

We are so lucky to have Otis. My 13 year old son said, “mom, Otis completes our family” . My friend, Barb (Jade’s grandma) referred us to Walk The Line when we wanted to adpot a pug. I was so impressed with the process for adopting a Pug from them. They are so caring and thorough, and they truly love these babies! In fact, they told Otis that they love him when saying goodbye to him and then handed him to us. It was a precious moment. We know Otis came from a loving family, NOT a random breeder. My children and I are in love with Otis and we are so grateful to the Walk The Line team. We communicate regularly and WTL is always there & genuinely concerned with how Otis is doing. If there is ever a question from “should we immunize for this? ” or “I’m still having trouble house training”, they are quick to respond with a very thoughtful approach based upon your families scenario and lifestyle. I feel grateful to be truly supported in raising Otis. Thank you

Hello Walk The Line family. Everything is going great with us and Kelly. Kelly is my best friend and she goes everywhere with me that I am able to take her of course. She is so loving and so good around children. She is either always running around with our pastor’s Yorkie or they just hang out on my lap together. I love the web site and all of the info that you have on it is wonderful. Thank you for the web site it is so awesome so that we can keep in touch with each other and I can learn from all of the info that you have on it. Thank you for all you have done.

We are new parents of a currently 12 week old pug. We have had dogs before – they were larger in size, but not larger in personality and joy. Our guy is really a lot of fun – Walk The Line has been very helpful throughout the process and continue to keep in touch. They are truly interested in their pugs and their owners being happy and healthy. This is obviously a labor or love for their entire family! I would highly recommend Walk The Line for anyone looking for a pug to add to their family. George Powers
We adopted a fawn female pug from Walk The Line in February 2016 and named her Daphne. Tanya at WTL was superb! We could not have asked for a better breeder. She was professional, attentive, very responsive, and took the time to answer all of our questions. The adoption process was smooth and Tanya made sure that Daphne came to us with everything she needed in her new home, including a huge container of food. We’ve had Daphne for almost 2 months now and she is a healthy and happy little pup. This little girl has brought such joy into our lives. Our only regret is that we didn’t get another one, lol! We would definitely recommend WTL to anyone looking to adopt a pug!

Here we go again. When you have found the best and we did in 2010 , no need to bother with the rest. We have just brought home our second Walk The Line Pug puppy. If we ever adopt again, WTL would be the only place that we would go . Very happy, healthy. playful puppies. Thankyou so much WTL family! We picked Raphe out when she was a week old and at least every other week new pictures were sent, it was great to be able to watch her grow until we were able to pick her up, she truly is a healthy bundle of joy

My girlfriend and I were very exuberant to have found Walk The Line. We had pre-adopted a Pug puppy in March, 2013 and couldn’t be more happy and exicited to have another member of the family. The Walk The Line family are very informative, quick to respond to any questions you might have, and most of all they care about the well being of the dogs. I just wanted to thank everyone at WTL for a wonderful experience in adopting our new puppy, she is a beautiful and healthy dog!!! Christopher & Breana
My husband and I have been looking for another pug for quite some time. We had adopted a pug a few years back and simply fell in love with the breed. We decided to look for a black one. I had seen the pictures of the puppies on this site, we fell in love. Since first contacting Walk The Line, their replies were fast and imformative. They kept in touch with us throughout the whole adoption process. Answered any questions we had through emails and phone. We were very impressed In January we received our Maggie. She is beautiful and extremely healthy. They kept in contact with us after we brought her home as well. They are caring, honest and dedicated. The knowledge they have on this breed shows us that they are true professionals who would never disappoint you. This wonderful group of people will be our only source for anything pug. We are more then happy with our Maggie. Kevin and Desiree Egan Extremely pleased Pug parents!!
My experience with Walk The Line has been nothing short of wonderful. I had been previously let down by other “breeders” that did not care about me, nor my future puppy, so when I found Walk The Line I was both relieved and excited. The care that they have provided and continue to provide to our puppy Penelope has been unparalleled. From the very first day of her life Walk The Line has cared for her as if she were their own, and while doing so, have managed to keep me informed and updated on her progress. I feel confident in their wealth of Pug knowledge, their many years of experience, and the personable demeanor of their whole team. The availability to inquire about my questions or just to have piece of mind was and still is easy through email and responses are always reciprocated in a timely manner. I would recommend Walk The LIne to any and all future Pug owners who seek a well informed, responsible, and caring pug breeder. Thank you Walk The Line

I have started to write my testimonial five times now and each time I have another level of appreciation to add. I have now decided that I must get something in print to share with others who are looking for a reliable source to adopt a pug. It has been a remarkable and unique experience working with the Walk The Line family. They have been an invaluable resource in all things “Pug” – a wealth of information and knowledge that they so patiently and generously shared well before there was even a commitment to purchase a pug. I began my conversation with WTL looking for a healthy companion for my “rescue” pug who has many challenges. My little guy is riddled with all of the traits so typical in the majority of pugs who are bred indiscriminately. I am so excited that I have found a breeder who is solely focused on passing on only the positive attributes to this incredible breed of dog. Because of my experience and relationship with Walk The Line, I will most likely adopt two new Pugs!

Hello, My name is Suzan from Springfield, MA.We are so happy that we found Walk The Line! My daughters and I have been casually looking for a pug for several months now. We found the WTL family through a friend and were looking to potentially preadopt a puppy for Spring. However with WTL’S help we met a beautiful little 10 week old black girl there that was ready to adopt now and we couldn’t wait. We are in our glory! She is exactly what we have been looking for. We all love her, she is so healthy, playful, and happy! The WTL family was also such a pleasure to deal with. An overall very happy and educational experience!

I am Joanne from Long Island, I had been searching for a Pug that was over a year old to keep my older Pug, Gizmo company as his “brother”, Mick a cat had passed on. I was on rescue sites, newspapers, shelters etc with no luck. I came across this site and saw pictures of Pugs that were just what we were looking for. The experience was amazing. Everyone we spoke to was so kind an passionate about each and every pug they had it made me feel comfortable taking the drive upstate to adopt a Pug. I had asked for pictures, and they were sent immediately, I wanted to know all about Lil Bear and was called quickly. On the car ride home with our new “son” Lil Bear, I was so amazed at the condition he was in, so clean, healthy, and bright-eyed. We had our vet come to check him out after we got home and he agreed, he was a very well cared for Pug. I highly recommend anyone looking for a Pug to go with these lovely people. I couldn’t be happier with Lil Bear ! Joanne
We are the proud Grand Parents to little Jade. She was a very small little girl and still is. Walk The Line was so great during the process and had so much love and concern for this little girl (I wasn’t sure they were going to let us adopt her). Since she was tiny it would not have been healthy for her to have puppies and we were getting another male, WTL was very careful making sure that we were not going to breed her. They would have gladly lost the adoption then take a chance that Jade could be harmed. They like to be informed on the health and well being of the pups and that just shows how much he cares. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a puppy. In fact I did and my best friend has Jade’s Big brother.

Hi my name is Mindy. My husband and I got our 2nd Pug from the Walk The Line family about two years ago. She has been a wonderful joy to us especially since we have no children. We have stayed in touch with WTL on and off for pug care questions etc. and we now have decided to add another pug to our family. We have always been very happy with our first girl from them, she has a great personality and has always been very healthy. We would never go elsewhere for a pug than WTL because their support is unbeatable! Mindy
Hi, I’m Vickey from S. Burlington, Vermont and over the Thanksgiving weekend became an adoptive parent to Willie our 20 wk old pug. I have been really impressed with the Walk The Line family and all the information given at the time of the adoption as well as throughout the entire adoption process. My husband and I are already talking about possibly adding to our family again next year. Thank you again, Vickey

I have to share with the pug world how excited I am to be a new parent to Ruby, born 7/9/10 from one of Walk The Line’s litters. She is a true joy. If you are interested in adding a new addition to your family and are a true pug lover than WTL is the way to go. It is worth taking the time to fill out the application and have pre-adoption conversations with them because they have a lot of information and know what they are doing. I have had Ruby now for 5 days and it is like she has always been here. She fits right in and is exactly who I was looking for when my decision to get another dog was made. Walk The Line was an answer to my prayers. Thanks for everything and God Bless your family and our furry little friends!

“The Walk The Line family are wonderful! We purchased an 8 week old male pug puppy from them back in September. They were always available to answer any questions. They are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It made me feel like I was truly purchasing a puppy from a top notch breeder and not from someone who just did not care. It’s been over 2 months and I am still in contact with the WTL family. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking to purchase a pug. We love our Duke and he is a wonderful addition to our family. He was very healthy when we received him. The WTL family take excellent care of their puppies. Thanks again for bringing Duke into our lives”.

When you send an email to ask a question someone always gets back to you very quickly. They sent a lot of pictures to help me make up my mind. The end result is I have a beautiful black pug named Brandy she is a real joy and for my next pug I would wouldn’t go anywhere else but Walk The Line.
